    1. The first factor is the amount and class of storage that must be provisioned to each virtual desktop. From an IT budgeting point of view, this is where a vast majority of VDI deployments never get beyond the proof-of-concept or pilot phase. Put off by high storage costs, many companies will opt to continue purchasing inexpensive new desktops and go forward with their current infrastructures.
